The Colombian singer took home three awards, including song of the year
Shakira, the fiery queen of Latin music, stole the show at the 2023 Latin Grammy Awards, dazzling fans and fashion enthusiasts alike with not one, but four show-stopping outfits. Each ensemble, meticulously curated for the occasion, showcased Shakira’s dynamic style and fashion-forward sensibility. From sultry silhouettes to vibrant hues, the global sensation proved once again that she is not only a powerhouse on the stage but also a trendsetter on the red carpet. The Latin Grammy Awards became Shakira’s personal runway, leaving everyone in awe of her sartorial choices and reaffirming her status as an icon in both music and fashion.
Shakira wore not one, not two, not even three wow-worthy looks to the 2023 Latin Grammy Awards.
The talented artist ended the night wearing four different looks for the award show.
The Colombian singer walked the carpet in a dramatic black and gold two-piece set by Harris Reed. The structured corset top appeared like a breastplate made of gold and stood out from the black velvet skirt (that also featured a dramatic slit).
Reed shared on Instagram that Shakira’s dress was made from upcycled theater curtains and deadstock velvet.

During the ceremony, Shakira had multiple outfit changes. First she changed into a strapless gold Doce Gabbana dress (again with a thigh-high slit) and the house’s signature iconography on the bodice. After that, she changed into an ultra-sexy sheer Jean Paul Gaultier catsuit for another performance.
She ended her night in a slinky cutout green dress that sparkled as brightly as her three Latin Grammy Awards.
The “Whenever, Wherever” singer earned seven nominations at this year’s ceremony, including song of the year — which she won. Shakira is a 12-time Latin Grammy Award winner, including the Latin Recording Academy person of the year award she won in 2011.
Shakira also performed at the award ceremony, along with artists like Rosalía and Maluma.

Shakira recently opened up about the importance of her fans in an interview with Spotify’s For the Record podcast.
“The role that my fans have played in my career is impossible to quantify,” the singer said. “They’ve known how to understand me better than anybody, and they’ve carried me to where I am today with their unwavering support.”
She went on to say she is proud to represent Colombian women in a male-dominated industry.

“The way Colombia has served as inspiration for my career as an artist is immeasurable. Colombia is a never-ending source of inspiration: for colors, culture, sounds, stories, folklore, and food. It’s such a rich culture and I’m so grateful to have been raised where I was and have it be my lifelong muse.”
